I’m a married mama of four, working hard at from home. I manage to cram a lot into my days. Writing. Knitting. Reading. Crafting. And my family too. Every so often I update my shop, Ebony Butterfly.
It is my deepest personal ambition to see my name up on a movie screen just under the title of writer. A close second would be my name on a book cover.
I love all shades of purple, sarcastic people and comments, summertime, staying up late, anything British, BROOKLYN!, and my family. I dislike wearing skirts in the winter and pants in the summer. I hate taking taxis and I love to walk. I curse too much, sleep too little, and should get out of the house more.
The year’s goals have been laid out in the obligatory new year’s resolution post on my blog. Here’s to blogging and Rav’in about the entire process.

I like your blog!
Tilted Duster turned out awsome!
I love, love, love your blog. You are talented and although I no longer share your aspiration to write screenplays, I will be first in line to see your film!
What a refreshing blog!
You hit me where I live — a mom of 5, stay-at-home, my youngest just leaving the toddler stage to emerge into a little boy-thing (he’ll be 4 in October), and trying to fit knitting, etc. in as ~ mommy-therapy! ~
Hope you don’t mind if I add you to my blogroll on my blog — I’d like to follow your adventures!
My GOD, girl how do you do it all!? I will not complain any more about my world after reading all about you.

I love your blog. You write beautifully and are a knitter on top of that, how wonderful. I look forward to seeing how your resolutions work out and what projects you come up with.
Thank you for your blog and the “Felicity” pattern. I knitted it this week-end and it is a big success !!!!
Take care,
Nadine
I just wanted to let you know that your blog is such fresh air!
Thank you for sharing your world!
I’m just learning to knit and Felicity is on the top of my list of projects.
Sarah
hello,
may i ask you which M1 do you recommend to use in the felicity hat pattern? i’ve researched in my reference books at hand and there are several ways to M1. i am in the process of knitting this hat for a friend’s birthday. i can see where i M1. there is not a hole, i did not yo, but i can see the increases. however, on your pics i cannot. any recommendations?
cindi
Hi Cindy,
I make one and then knit it through the back of the loop. That seems to make the most invisible increase for me. I do try to pull it tightly, though to make it as invisible as possible.
I hope that helps!
